I recently met up with my oldest buddy, who now lives on the other side of the world, and she kindly offered to take some photos of my one and only Winter outfit. They happen to be the first proper outfit photos I have ever taken in many years of blogging. Which is weird, but here we are.
I used to have a wardrobe absolutely bursting with clothes. Bursting at the seams (hinges?). I had a penchant for cheap jeans and cheaper summer dresses, and I bought high volume and low value.
Well not anymore. Bet you never saw that coming eh? What an unexpected twist. The point is, now that I'm 26 I'm down to about two outfits per season. A combination of a new-found hatred of clothes shopping and extreme pickiness means that two looks is about all I can bring myself to put together, so I choose carefully and stick with my choices.
The look I like most for A/W '16 is a sterling combination of absolutely badass thigh high black velvet boots and a drop-shoulder coat from Zara with wide lapels and naff buttons which I nonchalantly snipped off with scissors (like a maverick stylist rock god) and the tattiest freebie tote bag in existence. It's kind of low key but I've never been one for frilly bits.
So there you have it. My first ever outfit post. It took us a few tries to get the focus right against Chelsea's beautiful backdrop of twinkly Christmas lights, but here it is. How did I do?
